Endometriosis

Eff Endometriosis

This is a message to the universe of women who are suffering with Endometriosis: We can overcome this disease with knowledge, tenacity, and medical intervention. I'm living proof.

I struggled with Endometriosis for more than 30 years.  It got progressively worse and its reign of terror only ended after I had two invasive surgeries. The first surgeon removed 40 legions from my abdomen along with my appendix. My Endo was stage 4. A year later, when my chronic pain and symptoms returned, I opted for another surgery that would remove my uterus and finally bring relief.

These days I use my reclaimed energy in my work as a therapist and on my training runs. I'm back up to 60 miles per week! I'm also using my energy to share my story and hopefully inspire other women to overcome Endo.  I am planning to offer talks to women's groups, athletes and those interested in learning more, but meanwhile, I've been working on a documentary film.

My marketing people cautioned me against titling this page "Eff Endometriosis." They warned me that the search bots would get confused and no one would find this page. But here we are together, defying the odds.
